A vision board (also called a Treasure Map, Dream Board or Creativity Collage) is typically a poster board on which you paste images into a collage. It’s simple.
The idea behind this is that when you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have or do, where you want to live, or where you want to vacation, your life changes to match these images and desires.
No matter which method you’re choosing, have a little ritual before you begin your vision board. Sit quietly and set your intentions. Maybe just ask yourself "What do I want?" and then take note of anything that comes to mind.
Go through magazines and tear out images that make your heart sing.
Go through the images and put your favorites on the board. Choose the images that make you feel REALLY good. Let your emotions soar as you place the pictures, as if you are putting personal photos of you doing these things into a personal photo album.
Glue everything onto the board. Add words and phrases if you want.
An option, once you are done putting your vision board together is to have it laminated. This will greatly extend the life of your vision board and allows you to stick post-in-notes or taped notes on your board.
